Everyone at some point in their life is effected by bullying. The impacts can be devastating and the support and training offered by BulliesOut can be a real turning point in peoples lives. I was lucky enough to see this first hand at the charities 2015 Pride Awards. The awards were setup to recognise the hard work and commitment of their Young Ambassadors and Volunteers, many of whom have been the victims of bullying themselves. I spoke to a number of children who had experienced terrible abuse – but instead of giving in, they used their experiences to help others. They had the strength to think of others at a time when they needed support themselves… and that’s the beauty of BulliesOut. It empowers people to not only help themselves but gives those young people the skills and platform to help others. This leads to increased confidence, self-esteem and for many, friendships that span the country.
Karolo are delighted to support BulliesOut. Their website has become an important promotional tool for the charity and one that we are committed to supporting for the long run. We have also recently become a Corporate Member – ranging from £15 for individuals to £50 for businesses, it’s only a small amount but it makes a big difference. With the continued efforts of fundraisers and volunteers, BulliesOut are able to offer anti-bullying training and support… however they need more help to achieve thier goals and reach as many people as possible. So if you have or you know someone who’s been affected by bullying, why not help fundraise, donate or volunteer and #StandUpSpeakOut
