A bit about the project
We created the CCR’s previous website years ago, but as they’d grown so much since then they needed a new website to publicise their evolving ambitions. With a diverse audience, the new site needed to be a piece of cake for anyone to navigate and find the information they need.
Our first step was to devise a crystal-clear site structure to guarantee easy access to information for the CCR’s many audiences. The Investment Hub acts as a “go-to” place for anyone looking for investment opportunities in SE Wales, while the dedicated Project Hub gives users a good look at all ongoing projects. To draw attention to the work taking place across the region, we built a custom interactive map with colour-coded markers that show users the projects in their area.
Making sure Welsh-speaking users could easily navigate in their native language was crucial, so we installed an intuitive translation plugin to make switching languages a doddle. Plus, the CCR team are in full control of their content in both languages. The design is clean and uncluttered, while custom icons and carefully selected stock imagery consistently put across the organisation’s three key values: connected, competitive and resilient.
