Park House Restaurant

Drawing inspiration from gothic architecture to design an elegant brand identity for a fine-dining restaurant and wine bar.

Park House Signage Design

About the Project

It’s hard to walk around Cardiff city centre without noticing the grand, grade 1 listed building which is home to Park House Restaurant and Wine Bar. However, with such a striking building, the old signage seemed to fade away, leaving passers-by almost entirely unaware of the decadent experiences being offered inside. When Adam and Claire approached us to help them with their rebrand, we were determined to create an elegant, sophisticated brand, one that reflects the lavish surroundings and exquisite food on offer.

A flexible brand solution

Taking inspiration from the elegant designs of the windows, we created a family of logos that are instantly recognisable and work beautifully across digital and print materials.

As beautiful as the logo is, it wouldn’t stand out from the building on its own. So, we set to work finding the perfect colours for Park House’s new brand – starting with their now-trademark Velvet Purple and finding inspiration in their wine menu for more rich and full-bodied colours.

Printed Literature and Signage

At Karolo, we don’t just create a pretty logo and leave. For Park House we created a bespoke set of brand guidelines that staff could easily use for their own in-house marketing.

When Park House approached us for their rebrand, their signage essentially blended into the background. Now, the huge purple sign with the Park House logo can be seen turning heads all over the area.
