Pidgeons is Cardiff’s longest established independent funeral directors. Prior to working with Karolo, the companies website had become dated and didn’t reflect the professionalism and commitment to quality that is so evident upon visiting Pidgeons.
It was important when designing this website to understand not only who the target market was, but also their frame of mind. Nobody wants to ‘browse’ a funeral directors website, the user is most likely grieving and thinking about organising a funeral is the last thing they want to be doing. With this in mind, simplicity was the key – keep the messages clear and concise. Discuss the process, be up front with the costs and show that help is at hand by prompting for contact. The website has a clean, modern feel with simple navigation and ‘appropriate’ calls to action.
I approached Karolo on the recommendation of associates working for Media Wales in Cardiff. I met Mark and explained our needs which Mark and his team took on board and proceeded to design a professional, modern and clear website for us.
