Tucked just around the corner from Friars Walk shopping centre, Potters is a traditional pub nestled in the heart of Newport city centre. Following an extensive refurbishment and the opening of an enviable roof terrace, Potters asked Karolo to design a website to help promote the venue.
Mixing the old and new
As one of Newport’s last independent pubs, the refurbishment has acknowledged the pubs history and cleverly mixed traditional and contemporary styles. This has given Potters a unique identity when compared to their chain competitors, an identity that we felt was important to include in the website design. With a blend of photography, subtle textures and illustrations, the website echoes the venue with it’s mix of old and new.
Great content that’s easily updated
With a continually updated menu and a packed calendar of events, Potters website needed to communicate a lot of information whilst being easy to update. With a curated list of upcoming events, latest news articles and special offers, Potters can now feed their social media with rich content all pulled from the website into Facebook and Twitter. Events are categorised and filtered into the homepage and an extensive events list. Importantly, Potters team are now able to manage all their own event promotion, without the need for help from a developer.
